Blog Day 15 Hanoi

We had a relatively later start to the company visit today. We got in our taxis at 8:20 and came back by 11:10. The representative for the company actually had the best English of all the Vietnamese people who presented for us, so that was a welcome change for the day. But this was a very quick company visit so we had the rest of the day free to use. I used that time to try Banh Mi 25 for lunch which was a famous spot for having the best Banh Mi in Vietnam. The Banh Mi was good but not as exceptional as I thought it would be due to its praise. After, we went to the southern train street in Hanoi which had less people which made for better pictures. We arrived much earlier and expected the train to come at 3:30 but it came 45 minutes later so we had a long cafe session waiting. After taking some pictures, we went to a Pagoda in the middle of the lake called the Tran Quoc Pagoda but it was a long drive and cost over 100,000VND for a very small pagoda that we left after looking for one second. After that disappointing experience, we went back to the hotel and waited for our dinner reservation at Pizza 4P’s which is hailed as the best pizza in Vietnam. The pizza itself was the softest pizza I’ve ever had but taste wise it was not that much better than any other pizzas. The service and ambiance definitely made the experience more worth it since it is quite expensive by Vietnamese standards. Then, we went back to the hotel to prepare for a early morning the next day.
